A picnic at Bille Park

Today we met Jessica, Alina & Sally at Bille Park for a picnice and some playing. The boys loved spending some time with their aunt, cousin and grandma and we all enjoyed the glorious weather!I love these shots of Owen enjoying the pretty pink flower he found. What a sweet age he's at right now, everything is new and exciting to him.We had a nice picnic lunch on the grass before going to the playground to play.
Owen & Alina enjoyed swinging together.

Sliding on our favorite tunnel slide. I have similar adorable shots of James on this same slide when he was about this age.
James had a blast at the park, this is one of his favorite places!
Swinging brothers!

Just a beautiful spring day on our back porch...

This is one of those days that makes me really appreciate the fact that my chosen profession allows me to have frequent extended periods of time off. The weather was amazing, our back porch was just calling our names! James & Owen are like me, we just can't stand to be inside on a day this beautiful!Silly James makes this fake-smile-face every time he knows I'm taking a picture of him! He insisted on wearing his hood despite the fact it was nice & warm out.
Owen is so proud that he can wriggle down the stairs all by himself these days.
One last shot for the day- Owen in my boots! He loves marching around in big shoes any time he gets the chance!

James' Latest Artwork

James is still coming up with more & more exciting and adorable artwork every day! I can't keep it all, so I have been photographing it and posting it here & in my Costco album so I can keep a record of it without stuffing my house with all the scraps of paper he's drawn on. It's also a great way to save the adorable things he draws on his Magna-Doodle, like this goat he drew.

He also likes showing off his adorable drawings, this time a goat, for the camera. James loves drawing on this thing!
I LOVE this drawing James did of a duck! He copied the letters I wrote below & attempted to write his version of the word "DUCK" above. Later he added the nest with eggs for the duck to sit on and the silly face off the the side. I just love that duck! Perfect with Easter coming up!

My little sick babies!

I'm on spring break this week and dealing with sick kids. James has a minor case of pink eye & a cough, but he's mostly ok. He doesn't seem to feeling too bad at all.

Poor Owen has had a little fever & been all stuffed up for a few days. Last night he was having an awful time and this morning I noticed a lot of discharge in his ear, so I took him to the Dr. He has a ruptured eardrum!!! Poor baby!!!! I feel so bad for him, that is so painful and I can tell he is in a lot of pain. I'm giving him Tylenol as well as the antibiotic the dr. prescribed and tomorrow I'm going to get some children's Motrin also. So James is getting drops in his eyes every 2-3 hours and Owen's getting his meds 2 x a day plus the Tylenol every 4 hours, Motrin every 6 hours- it's a lot to keep track of!!!

I am so glad I'm off this week and am able to be home with these guys! I'll try to post pictures on Monday of our Easter & other pictures from spring break.

We've got Willoughby's Cabin for the 4th of July!

4th of July in Downieville is hands-down, my favorite holiday. Spending days on the beach by the river & evenings bbqing and hanging out with friends, you just can't beat it. We've been talking for years about renting Willoughby's cabin for the 4th of July weekend, and we've finally decided to go for it! Brooke & Jake, Tara & the Behlke family will be officially residing at Willoughby's from Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 6th!!! YAHOOO!!!! No more hauling our coolers back & forth every day (several times a day sometimes...), when they get tired, the kids can nap in the house while we lounge on the beach, bbqs on the porch overlooking my favorite beach spot in the whole wide world- I am so excited!!!! I am officially counting down the days!!! EEEKKKK!!!!

My favorite place in the whole wide world, and it's all ours for four fabulous days!!!

Renton's 4th Birthday Party!

Renton's 4th birthday party was a blast! We'd never been to Kids Park, a drop-off, hourly babysitting place in Chico and I'd always wondered about it. We decided we LOVE this place! So many fun things to do, and the girls who work there are great! The kids had a blast & James is dying to go back sometime soon.
Renton blew out the candles on his adorable pirate cake.

James & his buddy Kylee colored & decorated pirate hats together.
Owen & Keegan- our "little guys" had fun climbing the carpeted climbing area.
All the kids lined up in the "theater" to hear a pirate story. Taylor Kennedy, Owen Behlke, Keegan McGregor, Alysa Winebarger, James Behlke, Charli Finch, Kylee Winebarger, Renton McGregor.
McGregor brothers!
The girl who worked at Kids Park took the kids on a fun "treasure hunt" where they had to find & follow clues which led to the "treasure chest" full of treats for the kids! What a blast!

James making another of his silly faces.
Charli, joining James in the sillyness!
Renton & James were sliding down the carpeted area- not a very fast way to slide, boys!
Keegan, doing his hiding-the-face thing.
After this busy, fun day was over, I asked James what is favorite part of the whole day was. His answer: "Kylee and Alysa." He loves these ladies!!!

My Sweethearts....

Sweet little Owen, all clean and snuggled up in our chair after his bath. I can't believe he's 19 months old already!

Silly, silly, silly James will not ever pose for a picture with a regular smile on his face anymore these days. He & Owen love sitting together in the chair, until one of them starts shoving the other that is... Here are a few pictures of my two silly little boys snuggling in the chair together.

I love these boys so, so, so much!
